1 Liter of Tears is an upcoming tagalized Japanese TV series on GMA-7 that is based on a true story.
It’s about a girl named Aya Kito who suffered from an incurable disease called Spinocerebellar Ataxia and the original story was based on her diary that she kept on writing until she could no longer hold a pen. The book that later followed titled “One Liter of Tears” has sold over 1.1 million copies.
It stars Erika Sawajiri as Ikeuchi Aya, Hiroko Yakushimaru as Ikeuchi Shioka, Ryo Nishikidoas Asou Haruto, Jinnai Takanori as Ikeuchi Mizuo, Riko Narumi as Ikeuchi Ako, and Naohito Fujiki as Mizuno Hiroshi.
