The 25th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games will be held from December 9 to 18, 2009 in Vientiane, Laos.
A total of 390 gold medals are up for grabs for the 11 participant countries, which include the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia. The Philippines’ contingent to the games is composed of 253 athletes hoping to take home at least 15 gold medals and improve its 6th place finish in the 2007 SEA Games.
