6 Filipino movies head to 58th Berlin Film Festival

The annual Berlin film festival opens February 7 and runs through February 17 with 21 films competing for the main Golden Bear award.

Six Filipino films will be featured in the Berlinale (Berlin International Film Festival). The six Filipino festival entries include “The Amazing Truth about Queen Raquela”, a joint-production between the Philippines and Iceland, “Tribu” directed by Jim Libiran; “Tirador” directed by Brillante Ma. Mendoza; “The Muzzled Horse of an Engineer in Search of Mechanical Saddles” directed by Khavn de la Cruz; a Philippine/Dutch/Swiss Co-production entitled “Balikbayan Box” directed by Mes de Guzman; and “Years When I was a Child Outside” (Family Multi Channel) directed by John Torres.
