ABS-CBN’s Station ID for summer 2009 shows a colorful music video of a “Kanto Boys” (Billy Crawford, John Lloyd Cruz, Luis Manzano and Vhong Navarro) song showing Kapamilya entertainment stars and news personalities building homes for the poor, cleaning a river and the sea, sweeping streets, feeding children, among many other community activities.

The song is about “spreading love and care everyday and everywhere.” It is written by Robert Labayen and Peewee Gonzales and music was composed by Christian Martinez.

The network chose the socially relevant theme recognizing the hard times brought about by the global recession or economic crisis.

The creators of the said station ID believe that the scarcity of material wealth can be overcome by an abundance of generosity and concern for one another.
