I think ABS-CBN’s move to partner their talents with others is very good. Nakakatulong ito sa growth ng mga artista since they don’t rely on a constant partnership. Instead, they rely on talent. Pinapahusay nila ang artista nila so that kahit sino man ang kaparehas, maganda ang lalabas na resulta.

I mean, look at Sarah and John Lloyd. They did very well on the box office although medyo nasanay ang mga tao with a John Lloyd-Bea tandem. This shows na hindi kailangan ang team-up para kumita ang movie. Ang mas importante ay real talent, which Sarah and John Lloyd (and Bea na din) have shown.

Most fans are smarter now (although hindi lahat kasi ang iba, andun pa rin sa makaluman Sheryl Cruz-Romnick Sarmenta na era na kailangan sila lang parati — walang growth, bawal isingit si Jennifer Sevilla, bawal sabihin na ang totoong girlfriend ni Romnick ay si Harlene Bautista hehe).

I watched ‘Love Me Again’ last Friday, and I could say that although it was not superb, it was very good. There were some technical things (na hindi ko na idedetalye kasi baka antukin kayo) that should have been addressed to make the film better.

In a scale of 1 to 10, though, I give it an 8. Star Cinema has always been consistent in producing quality movies — something we don’t see very often sa ibang movie companies.
