Arnel Pineda and the Journey Concert in Manila Philippines
Arnel Pineda and his bandmates in Journey will have a concert on March 14, 8PM at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds titled “An Evening with Journey.”
The band popularized hits such as “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Any Way You Want It”, “Faithfully”, “Open Arms”, “Send Her My Love” “Separate Ways”, “Wheel in the Sky”, “Who’s Crying Now”, “Lights”, and “When You Love a Woman.”
The band is composed of Neal Schon (guitars), Jonathan Cain (keyboards), Ross Valory (bass) and Dean Castronovo (drums), and the newest addition is our very own Arnel Pineda.

uu nga c arnel lang pero hindi ang boung journey, Arnel should also be careful in appearing solo performance coz his name is tagged with journey… baka cya ang dahilan magiging cheap baduy or bakya ang dating sa journey… sa totoo lang di cya sumikat dahil c arnel cya at hindi cya solo performer ng nakita cya sa youtube sumikat cya dahil sa “parang or likes” lang ang boses nya kay steve perry. if you compare it to charice charice was discovered as solo performer wlang naka tag sa pangalan nya… im sori to say that arnel alone is not journey. but journey alone without arnel is still journey… over expose na masayado c arnel pineda and it will cost him the class as being a member of a legend and an international band called journey.

Arnel is a great singer, performer and a very humble human being. For a little over a year he had accomplished a lot as a Journey front man:
- performed in more than 70 concerts in Europe and US
- very succesful concerts with rave reviews
- platinum album ‘Revelation”
- he earned more than $4 million dollars
- Hawaii concert sold out in two hours
- Japan – sold out within a few days.
- Was the cover for GQ Magazine, was featured in Ellen, CBS News, CNN
- Performed in superbowl and the list goes on and on.
That’s a hell lot of accomplishments for a Filipino and I wish our countrymen will appreciate that . We should be proud.

I don’t think, ICE, is belittling us pinoy at all with her point of view. She actually made a valid point aside from what most of us would like to see in how AP should be. There is that reality of what it is and I can attest to that while living here in the U.S. that, most American fans don’t condone the side show there in PI.
Arnel, is his own man and have the right to choose in how he should live his life, just like everyone else. I can understand the wants and needs in this area from the pinoy fans. However, lets not forget that for 25 years, he struggle with his career here in PI, and if anything, that should be a testament to us all of how the music industry/media here are partly responsible for many talent that are going to waste. To spell the beans out, where were they during those 25 years? Why now all of a sudden it’s a struggle to have his support?
Guys, we have a pinoy here that is going to make it bigger than anyone before. We shouldn’t be arguing about how he should appease us, instead we need to give him our unconditional love and support. Enjoy the journey…peeps…peace!

Rey, Arnel needs some exposure in the Philippines to introduce Journey music, if not himself as the band’s frontman. Journey might have been in existence for more than 30 years now and have been making waves in the USA and Europe. It doesn’t hold true in the Philippines. I mean haven’t been popular here unlike other bands or rock singers like Queen, Metallica, Bon Jovi or Sting.
In my office where I work, only a few know about Journey and its music. And when I mentioned Arnel, they don’t know him either. But after his short stint on ASAP (ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime show) and other ABS’ program (Boy and Kris, Singing Bee, Deal or No Deal) a lot of my friends where texting me “oh my, AP is on TV”. Now they know that a certain Arnel exists and that there is such a popular American band as Journey. LOL hehehe…
Anyway, got a ticket already – VVIP. I can no longer wait to see AP performing live before my two big brown eyes! Yahooo!

ice.. no matter kapamilya or kapuso kau. ang point lang dyan kaya nasa kapamilya sila dahil 24hrs worldwide ang coverage ng tfc. if GMA7 can duplicate di na yan lilipat mga taga kapuso. ang program ng kapuso sa abroad nakikisakay lang sila sa orbit limited time slot pa at 1 week delay na bago ang airing ng progam. That’s why some artist like to be kapamilya. tfc can produce live shows worldwide at 1 hour delay lang ang other program ng teleserye ng kapamilya. some artist want publicity globally para makasabay sila sa trend. some sponsor sa abroad gusto makita performance nila bago mag produce. and only abs cbn tfc can do that.
