  • miong168

Sorry to correct you. But this subnotebook is not a low-end machine. The only down fall is the storage. I had mine for 3 months already. i have Tiger-OSX86 running on it smoothly by just adding ram.

mabuti pa hintayin n lang ang asus eee pc 1001 ………10″ ang display …… up to 16 gigz ssd

  • tankbeta2003@y.xxx

    GIlmore guys madami dun!

  • pat

punta kayo http://www.pccorner.com.ph para ma compare ninyo yung asus eee pc at yung neo explore. they are both small and very cheap. pero and dapat nyo lang tandaan is that they are for kids at more on internet research lang ang gamit. these machines are not built for professionals. unang una yung aus 4 gig lang, tapos yung neo naman 30 gigs kaya hindi ka talaga makakapag tago ng files lalo na yung mga malalaking spreadsheet. yung screen is 7 inches lang at hindi cya ok to view acrobat documents or spreadsheet. mahina rin ang graphics nila kaya hindi nila kaya paliitin ang display to fit the entire document. dapat kng may laptop ka na maliit, dapat di mo parin give-up yung desktop mo or your larger laptop :-)

meron na asus eee pc 900 na windows ready sa pc corner. 8.9 display. kya lang almost 29k.

  • kevin

mabilis ba yung bagong eee pc 900? at kung madaming malalagay(files)/(music)?

  • JD

Meron ng bagong laptop na 12 gig sya and 1 gig ang ram memory nya .. nakita ko sa sa north edsa tpos windows home edition na sya and mas ok na yung screen nya ngayon malaki na pero same size pa din

  • JD

para sa skin mas ok ito i could do more things and lalo na handy sya compare sa sinabi ni pat i had one yung 12 gig with 2 gig ram sya tpos ganda pa gamitin lagi akong m libreng access sa internet am using linux os rather than yung windows, saka having 12 gig at 4 gig usb pwede na rather than buying the larger type na laptop.. para sa iba pang kid pero it works handy para sa gumagamit ng linux.. mostly nman kasi ngayon puro surf lang and dahil sa rami ng hotspot ngayon at libre ka na ng access sa wifi nila.. kung marunong ka gumamit ng laptop kaya mong ayusin kahit di maganda specs nasa usr pa din nagdadala hahahah :P

  • http://www.coffeedrunk.com Mark

  • Magnus

anu b yan luma n mga post nio. wala man lamang isang taong nag update… laos na yang eeepc ang bilhin nio e ung deep blue h1 40g na 10k pa
ung xp version nia 12k pero dba? mas matino kesa sa 4gig, uuhugin ka sa pag delete copy sa liit ng memory. mabibili nio cia sa mga bilihan tulad ng villman, pc corner and such… kung ako senu un nlng bilhin nio wag yang crap na yan at oo nga pla ung asus na yan e nasa 14 nlng ata ngaun. taob pa ren sa deep blue h1. search it in google and see for yourself. ^_^

  • eron

i bought the black one at sm appliance cnter in makati..actually there were only two remaining and i bought the black eee pc. it was just for P13k..

though i’m not familiar with it’s OS (linux), well it’s cool..and i can just install windows XP anytime. FYI: you can also buy external memory worth 2k that would have 20-40G when you can save your files and leave the 4G for the XP when you install it, and adding some apps would also be fine… it’s so convenient to use..

  • Patricia

  • marty

Only thing that I have noticed is that as I compare all notebooks with different brands, particularly comparing eepc with acer and lenovo…

I would rather go to lenovo pangit service ng asus! tapos sobra uminit ung machine… a rend of mine has one…. and storage is sobra baba, oo nga bili nalang ng external pero hassel diba? mura nga price pero mapapamura ka naman sa sobra dami mu dala at kinakabit sa laptaop.,…

haay… Alam ko mas mahal ung iba ng konti pero I would rather buy the other brand such as lenovo kung alam ko naman na mas reliable and mas maganda features…. dba?
yun lang share ko lang.. pasantabi nalang po kung merong akong natamaan pero its my opinion and I just want to share lang po..

    salamat.

i bought an Asus Eee PC about a month ago and i am still amazed of its compact size and how lightweight it is. ~

  • curmudgeon

After using the 701 model (4 Gig with Linux) for almost 2 years now, I find it practical and useful because:

It’s very small and lightI can carry it all day without hurting my back. You can hide it in most any bag so it doesn’t attract robbers as much as laptop bags.

Fast starting, around 20 seconds or less.

Nice selection of built-inswebcam, microphone, speakers.

I don’t mind the small capacity, I save every

  • curmudgeon

I don’t mind the small capacity. I mostly work on small-to-medium-length docs, so I save on a USB stick. Bigger files like e-books are saved on Google docs or burned on CDs.

I like GNU/Linux because it’s more stable, never hung in 2 years of heavy use. Never got a virus, I even use it to clean USB sticks onf my poor Windows-using friends. It also gives you access to a lot of free software (more than 10,000 titles) that you can download and install from the Internet.

If you’re more into compiling or editing movies, or game-playing, or carrying a lot of big files around, it probably shouldn’t be your main computer. But for the things I do (programming, writing and editing, Internet access including music and short videos e.g. youtube), it’s almost perfect. All I need now is an SD card and a newer USB stick. I may just upgrade to a newer model, also with Linux and a solid-state flash drive (no hard disk).
