Atty. Francis Tolentino is new MMDA Chairman

The former mayor of Tagaytay City for 9 years, Atty. Francis Tolentino is the new chairman of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
He replaces Oscar Inocentes close to a month into President Noynoy Aquino’s presidency. Shortly after taking over, Tolentino has ordered the cancellation of all exemptions (except for medical and media practitioners) from the unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP). With regards to dealing with street vendors, he plans to be more compassionate to them.
