BFAD orders pullout of formalin-tainted Chinese products
The Bureau of Food and Drug (BFAD) ordered the pullout of four Chinese products from the market after testing positive for formalin or formaldehyde.
The four Chinese products found to be laced with formalin are White Rabbit creamy candy, a brand of milk candy made by Romanticfish Food Industry, Bairong Grape Biscuits made by Dongguan Bairong Food Stuff Company and distributed by Goodway Int’l. Trading Corp. and Yong Kang Foods Grape Biscuits made by Dongguan Yongkang Food Company, Ltd. The Bureau came out with the findings, after inspecting for more than two weeks over 600 food products that the Philippines imported from China.
