Former San Francisco 49ers coach Bill Walsh died Monday at 75 after a lengthy fight against leukemia.
Walsh died at his Woodside home. He molded offenses around some of the NFL’s top quarterbacks. He crafted schemes for some of the game’s best receivers. Walsh spent just 10 seasons on the San Francisco sideline. But he built the 49ers into the most successful team of the 1980s with his innovative offensive strategies and teaching techniques.
