Binibining Pilipinas strips Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2010 title from Maria Venus Raj

Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) stripped Maria Venus Raj of her crown and her Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2010 title after they found inconsistencies between the personal account of her birth and the information on her birth certificate.
Both Venus and her mother said she was born in Doha, Qatar while her birth certificate indicated that she was born in the Philippines. This leaves a question on her nationality. She will be replaced by Bb. Pilipinas runner-up Helen Nicolette Henson, who will represent the Philippines to the Miss Universe 2010 Pageant.
