Former beauty queen and actress Rochelle Barrameda on Wednesday confirmed (based on the clothes worn by the body) that the remains inside the cemented steel case recovered from the Navotas river was that of her sister’s, Ruby Rose Jimenez.

The victim has been missing since March 14, 2007 and her family even put up a 500,000 cash reward to anybody who can furnish information that would lead to her whereabouts.

Authorities suspect her disappearance has something to do with her filing a complaint against her husband, Manuel Jimenez III for allegedly violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act of 2004. Barrameda’s family now alleges that the husband had something to do with the killing.
