Brandon Vera set to fight at UFC 85
Filipino-American Brandon “The Truth” Vera will be facing Brazilian Fabricio Werdum at the UFC 85 on June 7, 2008 at The O2 arena in London, England.
Vera’s last fight was against Tim Sylvia at UFC 77 in which he lose via a unanimous decision. He also sustained a broken hand in the first round of that fight. That was the first defeat of his career. Werdum on the other hand, scored a stunning second-round TKO of UFC heavyweight contender Gabriel Gonzaga. The winner of this bout will be a top challenger to interim UFC Heavyweight Champion, Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira.
