Carabao Island in Romblon – The next Boracay?

Boracay is the most popular getaway for those who prefer the sun and the sand.

Carabao Island - San Jose, Romblon

Little do we know, there are other places here in the Philippines that equally match the beauty of Boracay. Carabao island of San Jose, Romblon is less than an hour away from Caticlan and authorities say that the white sandy beaches and the twelve dive spots in the area can compete to Boracay’s splendor. But unlike Boracay, the island is still unspoilt by establishments and bustle of overflowing tourists. Veteran broadcast journalist Jessica Soho recently featured Carabao Island on Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho. Check it out on YouTube.

Im from Romblon and im not agree of what happen thier , our family have a land title until now hindi pa bayad ang mga ibininta naming lupa na binayaran lang sa pinakamurang halaga ginawang installment ni mayor Tandog na ang pagkaalam namin ay may pundo para bayaran ang mga mayari ng lupa sa hinahandang gagawing interantional airport.ayaw sana ibenta ng pamilya namin angmga lupain kaso parang ginigipit nila kami ng mga namamahala sa lugar na un. ganon na ba kalapastangan ang mga lider ng bayan mismo kababayan dinudugas sa pangungurakot.

The First Time i went to Boracay was around 1987. there was only a handfull of tourist there mostly divers. theres was no electricity, the locals were so friendly & in my opinion it was the nicest place i have ever seen. Please dont destroy Romblon like you did Boracay. its not fair to us who enjoy the natural Beauty of what nature gives us. the locals should know that in the end they loose everything, as the Rich will take the lot & leave you with nothing. look what happened in Puerto Galera, now Boracay. i met a woman who’s family had a big slice of land in Boracay, now shes does manicures on the beach, WAKE UP PEOPLE
