Pfizer to Launch Nicotine Replacement Gum

May 31st, 2006

Pfizer Philippines will soon be distributing Nicorette. Nicorette is a form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT), which means it provides nicotine to your system. It works as a temporary aid to help you quit smoking by reducing nicotine withdrawal symptoms until your body no longer needs nicotine. Each piece of Nicorette gum is a form of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). This means it replaces some of the nicotine your body and brain are used to getting. The level of nicotine is lower than cigarettes and allows your body to gradually adjust to having less nicotine until you no longer need any. This is good news for smokers who are having difficulties in giving up the habit.
