It is a spin-off of the character of Ogie Alcasid on the GMA-7′s gag show, Bubble Gang. It will be top billed by Ogie Alcasid.

His leading lady will be Solenn Heussaff instead of Sam Pinto who plays “Neneng Bakit” on Bubble Gang.

“Mag-start kami ng shooting itong February na kasi April yata ang playdate.” Heussaff said.

Director Frasco Mortiz described the movie during the movie’s story conference as a “barkada movie na ipapakita ang journey ng isang grupo na close friends noong high school several years later magkikita sila ulit. Doon ipapakita ang journey nila sa paghahanap ng tunay na kaligayahan. May ginawa kasi silang kasalanan noong high school at feeling nila kaya di pa sila nakakapag-move on sa buhay nila ngayon dahil sa nangyari before.”

Matteo: “Ako si Carlo rito, yung role ko rito ay isang waiter-musician, mahaba pa yung buhok ko. So, kakaiba yung character ko rito very challenging.”

Maja: “Ako si Sandy rito, never pa akong nag ka boyfriend, pero grabe akong mambasted ng mga lalaki, iisipin n’yo na isa sa mga dahilan, bakit nambabasted ang isang babae, dahil nanggaling sya sa isang masamang relationship. Dito sa kwento, magtataka kayo, kasi never pala sya nagka boyfriend, pero bakit siya nambabasted, anong totoong dahilan. Sa movie, ipapa realize hindi lang sa character ko kundi sa mga manonood ng pelikula namin kung ano ba yung iba’t ibang meaning ng pag-ibig.”

My Cactus Heart is directed by Enrico C. Santos and premieres in cinemas nationwide on January 25, 2012.
