Smart has set its Internet browsing rate for both GPRS and 3G at a flat rate of P10.00 for every 30 minutes. Unlike before when they used to charge per kilobyte, Smart’s charging scheme is now time-based just like that of an Internet Cafe. With this, users can surf the Internet sites through their cellphones at a broadband speed. This P10.00 charging scheme is applicable when subscribers browse outside of Smart’s official WAP site. An additional P10 shall be charged for every 30 minutes thereafter or for every fraction thereof. Browsing the Smart WAP site still remains free and the rates for downloading mobile content is still the same.

Accent Micro will have the newly released macbook this week, that according to a local mac forum. The suggested retail price for the low end macbook is Php 73,500, Php 87,000 for the mid, and a whopping Php 100,000 for the black macbook or what they now call a “blackbook”. Some also say that the rebranding was because Smart Wifi now has a bad reputation due to poor services to its subscribers.

A lot of subscribers have been complaining that their DSL connection slowed down a notch from 384 kbps it somewhat went back to 256 kbps. It all started last April and until now.
