CCTV footage may hold key to FEU player Baracael attack
Investigators are now reviewing the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage of Philtrust Bank branch along N. Reyes Street in Manila in connection with the shooting of Far Eastern University (FEU) cager Marnel “Mac” Baracael on July 24.
Manila Police District (MPD) homicide head Chief Inspector Dominador Arevalo Jr., whose office is helping investigate the slay try said the CCTV footage from 7-9 p.m. of July 24 was crucial in identifying the lone assailant who shot Baracael at the corner of R. Papa and Nicanor Reyes streets, just near said bank. Police are also currently looking at the game-fixing angle in the UAAP as a possible motive for the attack.
