CEB rates Ploning “A”, When Love Begins, “B”

Panoramanila Pictures Co.’s Ploning was given an “A” rating by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) meriting a 100-percent rebate on amusement tax. It is also classified General Patronage by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

Star Cinema and Viva Films’ joint project When Love Begins on the other hand, got a “B” rating by the CEB and is classified PG13 by the MTRCB. It is entitled to a 65-percent tax rebate. The CEB, which operates under the Film Development Council of the Philippines, grants tax rebates to well-crafted local films. Both movies opened in theaters April 30, which signifies pay day, making it the perfect chance for Filipinos to relax and see a movie.
