Charice Pempengco releases debut album

International singing sensation Charice has just finished recording her self-titled debut album under Star Records.

Charice will be known simply as Charice and no longer Charice Pempengco, since her estranged father has asked her to stop using his surname. The six-track CD includes “I Have Nothing”, “Mama” by Smokey Mountain plus the two songs she sang in The Ellen DeGeneres show, “I Will Always Love You” and “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.” Plus two original songs written by Swedish songwriters, titled “Born to Love You Forever” and “It Can Only Get Better”.

Looking forward to more great things from Charise! David Foster has long claimed that Charise will be known by her first name only…given Foster’s position in the music industry, I don’tthink her father has any say in this or any future matters regarding Charise.
