Charice Pempengco to sing in Barack Obama inauguration
International singing sensation Charice Pempengco will dedicate two songs to Barack Obama before he is sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.
Charice will sing “God Bless America” and “One Moment in Time” at the pre-inaugural ball on January 18 at the Grand Hyatt Washington Hotel. She left for the US last Friday, January 16, in preparation for this historic event.
After the pre-inaugural ball, she is set to stay in the US for almost three months to record her first international debut album to be produced by record producer and composer David Foster.

Natatandaan ko pa nun c charice nung makalawa xang sumali sa little big star hosted by sarah geronimo kung saan sa una e natalo xa at ang kantang pinanlaban nya e ung shine ni regine velasquez at nung panagalawang sali nya e napasama na xa sa finalist at nakalaban nya c sam concepcion at ung isa na hindi naman magaling naging pan third lamang c charice nun…It means hindi lang talaga marunong ang abs na magdiscover ng talent ng isang tao….nung nalaman na panginternational na c charice e panay na ang sip sip ng channel 2 ……..haha!!!hoy wag kaung magmalaki dahil yang batang yan e sumikat sa sarili nyang pamamaraan at hindi dahil sa inyo kapamilyuckzzzzzzzzz…..

i guess….i thought mananalo si charice cuz she’s excellent…but when the finals came…me and my fellas got shocked with the result. we got disappointed by that but i am quite sure as well that the criteria in choosin who’ll be the winner had been laid off properly.
you know how sucks the taste of our fellowmen,porket gwapo gusto….di bat ganan din ang nangyari sa pinoy idol, nung tanggalin halos lahat ng mgagaling…..?it’s the people’s choice who’ll stay..its not the network…
and lil big star has a criteria of 50% votes;50% scores from the judges..it’s just simple math mates…
with all the comments stated against both channels…it just shows..how dumb we are not analyzing things..=)..but this can still be prevented, just think first even just a bit before you say somethin

I think the news is wrong about the date of her performance. Charice DID NOT perform during the inauguration of Obama. She did not even perform in the pre-inauguration ceremony attended by the new president and his wife and a number of celebrities that was televised in the Philippines on HBO. She only performed in one of the pre-inauguration balls that were held in the Washington DC area. I don’t which particular ball it was. I never read anything about it after this news bit. So I’d like to hear from her where and when she really performed.

To clarify your confusions this is really what happened. Charise did sing “One Moment In Time” sa one of the Pre-Inaugural Event ni Barack (he wasn’t there). I personally went to the Pre-Inauguration Concert which was held at the Lincoln Memorial but she was not one of the performers. That was the only reason why I went kasi akala ko kakanta siya so I was a bit disappointed. On Jan 19, nag appear siya sa taping ng show ni “Oprah in Washington, DC” which was held at the Kennedy Center. Kinanta niya ang “God Bless America”. Again, I was so disappointed kasi hindi siya kasali talaga sa show. Pinakanta lang siya just before the show started at hindi pa naka tape. How do I know all these? I live in Washington, DC and I was one of the audience of the “Oprah in Washington, DC”

Actually Charice performed in a ball dedicated to the memory of Martin Luther King and I think one of the sons of MLK was at the event and was moved by her performance. It was not a ball related to the Obama inauguration or pre-inauguration. It is still an honor nevertheless. I’m not a fan of ABS nor of Charice but I think some of the people here badmouthing Charice are just here to troll and you can tell they have no breeding whatsoever. So please don’t pay attention to them. They thrive on you people reacting negatively to what they post here. They do not deserve your attention so why dignify anything that they say. They are trash, plain and simple. Don’t go down to their level.
