Charice sings with US stars, gets standing ovation

16-year-old Charice Pempengco now simply known as Charice got two standing ovations for her performance at the one-night tribute concert for musician-record producer, David Foster titled “David Foster & Friends” at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas last Friday.

She sang a medley of Whitney Houston’s hits- “I Will Always Love You” and “I Have Nothing” in front of an audience of almost 10,000. After her performance, Charice got two standing ovations. People cried and she received loud cheers and applause after each song. “Tonight, a star is born,” Foster said. The concert featured artists such as Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, Peter Cetera, Michael Buble, Katharine McPhee, Alicia Keys, Kenny G, and Andrea Bocelli.
