Charice sings with US stars, gets standing ovation
16-year-old Charice Pempengco now simply known as Charice got two standing ovations for her performance at the one-night tribute concert for musician-record producer, David Foster titled “David Foster & Friends” at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas last Friday.
She sang a medley of Whitney Houston’s hits- “I Will Always Love You” and “I Have Nothing” in front of an audience of almost 10,000. After her performance, Charice got two standing ovations. People cried and she received loud cheers and applause after each song. “Tonight, a star is born,” Foster said. The concert featured artists such as Josh Groban, Brian McKnight, Peter Cetera, Michael Buble, Katharine McPhee, Alicia Keys, Kenny G, and Andrea Bocelli.

She deserves in her position napanuod ko ang news sa TV Patrol World talagang nakakakilabot ang scene nya dun even Lea Salonga who was the first highly acclaimed singer natin di pa nakaharap si David Foster and even Oprah and Ellen, take note not only USA but also Europe, Korea and rest of region in ASIA. About issue ng pagkakatalo niya Sa Little Big Star di hamak talaga na mas maraming tagahanga si Sam Concepcion dahil galing ang bata na yun sa isang Theater club at saka may kaya pa dagdagan pa ng mas maraming right ups sa kanya ng media but the thing i highly recognized to Charice is her down to earth personality and a dreamer, nagpursige siya at kung ano man sya ngayon ay dahil din yan sa kanyang mga pinagdaanan.
Sana huwag kang gumaya sa iba dyan na tila sumisikat palang e ganun na ang attitude kahit bata ka pa sana gamitan mo rin ng Ethics ang lahat ng nangyayari sa buhay mo, Stay humble and always be good to your follower.

I’m a pure blooded filipino and a US resident by birth. Been hearing a lot of Charice Pempengco from my pinoy/pinay friends and the success she’s having but so far we haven’t seen her in the US. I’ve watched some of her performance in Youtube but it does not impresses me much. Is this some kind of over hyped talent that you are pushing to the public just for the sake of being noticed?

Your adoration and claim of worldwide popularity for your idol is the issue and not my outlook or preferential tastes for celebrities, furthermore, your statement that implies only Filipinos are allowed to share their views on the subject is discriminatory. I am merely stating that Charice Pempengco’s popularity only exist in your own mind and from a few fans that patronizes her. I have live all my life in the US and I had personally witnessed awards given to talents that are deserving. She is in no way, based on her Youtube performance, is deserving of my attention.

Get a life Richard. It is highly anachronistic for an individual such as you who supposedly do not recognize Charice nor the list of accomplishments in highly successful shows she had been part of yet take pains to look at her youtube videos and then say that she does not deserve your attention in one breath; you contradict yourself. Much more, you make an a** of yourself. As such, since you find her beneath your attention, it is logical for you to go forth in your merry way and look for other things which does deserve your attention like tending to your ingrown nail for example.
