Cinemalaya 2008
The 2008 Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival will be held from July 11 to 20 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines with 10 films and 10 short films in competition.
This year’s theme is “Anong Kwento Mo?” The full-length feature film that best represents this theme will win P200,000 plus the Balanghai trophy while the top short film will receive P100,000 during the awarding ceremony on July 20. The 10 short films competing this year are:

The Cinemalaya Awards seeks to discover, encourage and honor the cinematic works of Filipino filmmakers that boldly articulate and freely interpret the Filipino experience with fresh insight and artistic integrity.

May bayad po ang panonood ng films, pero may discount for students. :)
Matagal ko nang hinihintay tong event na ‘to. Hindi ako pamilyar sa mga direktor (malamang baguhan sila), pero I’m hoping na magustuhan ko rin yung films nila (katulad ng pagkagusto ko sa mga films last year).
