Corazon “Cory” Aquino dies
Former President Corazon Cojuangco Aquino or more popularly known as Cory Aquino passed away Saturday morning at 3:18AM. She was 76.
She reportedly died of cardio respiratory arrest at the Makati Medical Center. Here’s a statement from the Aquino family:
“Our mother peacefully passed away at 3:18 a.m. August 1, 2009 of cardio respiratory arrest. She would have wanted us to thank each and every one of you for all the prayers and your continued love and support. It was her wish for all of us to pray for one another and our country. Hinihiling po ng aming pamilya ang konting panahon para makasama namin ang aming mahal na ina.”
She has been diagnosed with colon cancer early in 2008 and has been confined at the hospital for more than a month.

May Cory’s soul rest in peace. She missed apologizing to the Filipino people for her failure of governance (and miss governance) during her reign as Phil. President. Nevertheless, we should be thankful for the service that she gave to our country.

To: jose rizal Says:
Magkano Peso to Dollar nung time ni Ramos?
Magkano Peso to Dollar nung time ni Erap?
Magkano Peso to Dollar ngaung time ni Gloria?

Try natin….
Mga Kababayan:
“Obesity Jessica Sago for President!!!!”
Boboto ba kayo?????
August 6th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Cory was the key instrument in ousting Dictator Pres Marcos..Endangering her life and her families’…sacrificing private life…That was big enough for a woman who in the first place lost a husband(tragically)….She has no choice…Opposition didn’t have any one strong(in influence) enough to challenge Marcos….not even Doy Laurel who was much skillful(politically) than her….and Obesity Jessica Sago was not there to volunteer(she thinks she is better)……at least democracy, freedom and peace was much better experienced during her reign compared to Marcos’ decades of dictatorship…..
But compared to you Obesity Jessica Sago…..not close even with Erap….you only have baseless words and your insulting somebody with your alias…..tsk tsk…with that kind of person, Cory is still my choice than you…Erap is also better than you…not even close……and the way you use words will prove that….(and also the way you insult somebody)….and you’ve got the nereve to talk politics…tsk tsk….
“Obesity Jessica Sago for President!!!” please post here if you want to pledge support….

I first learned that our beloved former President Ma. Corazon Cojuangco Aquino had passed away from my mom and a text message from my sister during wee hours in the morning. I quickly turned on the TV and saw the words “Salamat President Cory” flashing on the news. I felt a deep ache within me. Not that I was into politics and all that stuff but she has truly been a democracy icon for all of us. And her legacy will be continually experienced by the next generation of Filipinos. She is a a perpetual mother who is seen as the pillar of strength of many among us. I proudly say that i am one of them. And I truly lament her death very much. It made me cry as if I have lost someone from my own family. I have kept on praying for the cancer-stricken former president ever since I found out her health condition. Now that her remains lies peacefully in Manila Memorial Park, I will still continue to pray for her. To make her guide every Filipino dream and those who still believe that there is hope for restoring good governance in our country.
Behind the tears I have wept on her death, a part of me is still in high spirits ‘coz I know she is finally with her beloved Senator Benigno Aquino now. At least she didn’t have to suffer a really long battle from colon cancer pains. Thanks to our prayers.
So, I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Cojuangco-Aquino family. I am very thankful to the late President for the inspiration she had left us. Her sincere kindness, undiminished courage and strong faith in God even in her death bed will always serve as an eternal memory that will be forever cherished within every Filipino heart.
Thank you President Cory.
You will always be our ONLY LADY PRESIDENT.
