Former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
Kris Aquino, read a statement on live television over ABS-CBN with Korina Sanchez that said her mother had gone in for tests after suffering from high blood pressure and difficulty breathing during the Christmas and New Year holidays, then a persistent cough and weight loss. “The result showed our mother is suffering from cancer of the colon,” she said. It was also the request of their mother to air the statement of her condition in the hope that millions of Filipinos will pray for the fomer president.
