“Cory” the Musical

Cory the musical presents the life story of former President Cory Aquino from her childhood until her installment as president during the 1986 EDSA Revolution.
The musical is written and directed by Nestor Torre while the libretto was created by Bing Pimentel, songwriter and wife of Senator Koko Pimentel. She was inspired to create a musical in Cory’s honor after learning of her diagnosis with colon cancer. The cast includes former Miss Saigon star Isay Alvarez as Cory Aquino, Robert Sena as former President Ferdinand Marcos, Pinky Marquez as wife Imelda, and Sherwyn Sozon as Ninoy Aquino. Catch Cory the musical at the Meralco Theater this October.
