Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 95 presiding judge Henri Jean Paul Inting issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) preventing ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation from airing reports pointing to GMA Network as behind the manipulation of TV ratings published by AGB Nielsen Media Research.
The TRO issued by the court was in connection with the request filed by GMA Network protesting that it is being subjected to trial by publicity by ABS-CBN, which accuses them of having a hand in the alleged bribery of the panel homes to boost its ratings in the areas of Bacolod, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo. ABS-CBN on the other hand, said it will take legal action to reverse the TRO granted by the court.
