Credit Card Cloning in the Philippines

The National Bureau of Investigation warned the public against a new modus operandi by criminals who “clone” credit card accounts.

All information on the credit card are copied once swiped in a duplicating machine. An improvised skimming device slightly bigger than a matchbox is used to clone the card.

    So how to identify this? Such a condition can’t be good for tourism. I personally would put 2nd thought before making a purchase, if knowing this kind of thing could happen especially when you are abroad.
