Czar Amonsot loses to Michael Katsidis

WBO “interim” lightweight champion Michael “Rocky” Katsidis retained his title with a close unanimous decision over our very own Czar Amonsot.

Amonsot went down twice (2nd and 10th rounds) in the fight. Judge Ruben Garcia scored it 116-110, Patricia Jarman saw it 114-112 and CJ Ross penned it 115-111.

I really thought he had a shot at beating Katsidis. Sayang. I guess when you’re in the thick of the fight there is no room for showing off. Well, he still has a lot to learn.

i watched the fight too. medyo mahina diskarte ni zcar. Actually, it should be Zcar advantage already when his opponent got cut on his left eye…. but wala mahina….

  3. Michael Katsidis Says:

    1. I had 6 and a half weeks notice for the fight against czar 2. Each and everyone of the State of Nevada Medical board agreed on the doctor’s decision to let the fight continue based upon the location of the cuts.

  4. Michael Katsidis Says:

In fact it was the head butt by Czar that caused another cut releasing pressure from the swelling, the head butt ultimately prevented the fight from being stopped
