Dancing 6-year-old boy Jan-Jan Suan on Willing Willie is child abuse says DSWD

The Department of Social Welfare and Department or DSWD has stepped into the controversy that involves 6-year-old boy Jan-Jan Suan who was made to dance like a “macho dancer” on the March 12 episode of TV5′s Willing Willie.

“This incident is clearly a violation of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act and a blatant manifestation of child abuse,” part of DSWD’s press statement said. As of this posting, the YouTube video of Jan-Jan dancing has 299,153 views and has sparked criticisms in social media networks like Facebook and Twitter.

from the start napanood ko un… ung tungkol daw sa child abuse kay jan-jan….sa malawak kong pa-iisip di sumagi sa isip ko na inaabuso na ung bata…napaka unfair naman ng DSWD na yan….palawakin nmn natin ang ating mga pag-iisip bago tayo mag-husga….

tama! dami child abuse. about willie, napakaliit lang nyan at wag na palakihin pa. ang dapat tutukan ay ang mga pedopilya, pabayang magulang, child labor etc . paano mo naman molestyahin ang bata in national tv, hindi nya sinasadya yon na mali pala so suspensyon is enough at wag na palakihin pa. give him another chance again. sa totoo lang marami sya at ang programa ang nabibigyan ng chance of the life time means NATUTULUNGAN. PEACE BE WITH US ALWAYS.
