Daryl Peach beats Filipino Roberto Gomez, wins World Pool Championship

Daryl Peach became the first Englishman to capture the World Pool Championship title, beating Filipino qualifier Roberto Gomez, 17-15 in the finals match in the sport’s biggest tournament at the Araneta Coliseum Sunday.

35-year-old Peach became $100,000 (P4.5 million) richer while the 28-year-old Gomez went home with $40,000 for the runner-up finish.
