In order to justify a rematch, there must be some doubt about who won the fight. Rematch money will be huge. This is why one Judge
seems to have seen a completely different fight from his peers. Fights have a subjective element about them, that allows anyone to see the result that suits their needs. Rematch==Big Money vs young fighter exposes skills erosion due to age…Boxing results tailored to fit objectives of Principles.

scorecard and that of the judge in favor of De La Hoya are what interest me. As unlikely as it may seem, perhaps the other two judges are not as competent. If Oscar lost, he only did so by a point or so.

In other words, just because De La Hoya looked a little more out-of-it and messed-up towards the end is no reason to necessarily assume he lost.
