DFA: Green Philippines Passports valid until their expiration date
Contrary to an alleged advisory that effective January 2010, green colored passports will no longer be honored, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Thursday announced that green passports are valid until their expiration date.
DFA spokesman Bayani Mangibin made the clarification following an advisory allegedly issued by the travel agency section of the department that is circulating among overseas Filipinos. The advisory also said that they should apply for machine-readable passports even if their green passports have not yet expired.
“All green passports are valid until their expiration date,” Mangibin said.

sa 2012 pa ma e expire green passport ko. buti na lang. pero sana magamit ko man lang bago ma expire. haha.

wow may passport sya…ako nga wala….takot ako sa sumakay sa airplane, feeling ko babagsak ito anytime! the last time ako sumakay is bata pa ako, nakatulog ako sa sobrang takot at nagising na ako nung lumapag na yung airplane hahaha.

Akala ko rin hindi na i-a-accommodate by 2010 ung passport ko. Buti na lang ako nagamit ko na passport ko sa HongKong, Singapore at China. The last is ung sa Beijing sa Great Wall when I had the chance to visit and witness the 2008 Beijing Olympics :)

Paano yan! valid pa ang green passport ko pero wala ng space for stamping kasi jet setter ako, puno na ng stampa! kasi kahit saang panig ng mundo ako nagliliwaliw???

ako green pa rin. pero Sept pa naman expire. kaso pano yan pag nagrenew ako ng passport sa Philippine Embassy e TNT nako sa amerika. isusumbong kaya nila ako? help! need advice.

sir maan paano po ako mag renew ng passport?ano po ang kailangan ko? gaano po katagal?kc po mg ixpire na po sa june 25 2009…nga apply po ako ng visa papunta ng ibang bansa ni required po skin na kailangan ko daw po e renew ang passport ko sa manila lang po yun..kc po probnsya po ako..gusto ko po malaman kun ano yun kailangan ko dalahin…para mka save po ako ng time pti nrin po gastos..mag kano po yun babayaran ko…gaano ko po katagal hintayin bgo ma release san po ako pupunta

wala aku sa pinas ngayun. OFW worker aku sa Trinidad and Tobago. yung hawak kung passport ngayun ay yung green pa at sa 2012 pa yung expiry nya. then mag expire yung contract ku sa june 2010 den pwedi ku pa ba magamit yung green passport ku o kailangan na aku mag apply for a new passport yung readable passport na? please i need ur quick reply. thank u so much.

ung asawa kpo e nsa ibang bansa, ung pasport nia maexpire po august 25 nxt yr kailangan po kc na marenew po agad ung pasport para marenew agad ung contract nia. pede po b na ako na asawa nia magrenew ng kanyang pasport kung ipapadala nia ung pasport nia at kung pede po anu po mga requirements nia at pati po ako na magrenew. pede na po b irenew un kahit ala pa cia sa expiration date.
