DFA Passport renewal appointment system now online
The Department of Foreign Affairs announces the launch of the DFA Passport Appointment System which can now be done online.
Under this system, passport applicants can set an appointment with the DFA-Passport Office for the filing of their passport applications.
To set up an appointment, go to DFA PASSPORT APPOINTMENT SYSTEM BY INTERNET and fill out the online request form and submit.

Nasa pinas na asawa ko at nakashedule syang bumalik sa ibang bansa on March 15, 2008 kaso lang gusto niyang mag pachange ng status nya.pwede ba yun? Paano yung Visa na nakatatak sa dating passport nya kung ekakancel yun tapos magiging valid yung bagong passport nya? Complecado ba to? iba na kasi magiging apelyedo na nakalagay sa bagong passport nya if ever, Tapos yung visa nasa lumang passport pero original family name nya. Advice lang… Wag na nga tayong magpakasal sa ibang bansa. nililito nyo lang and DFA. Lalong ginogolo ang nananahimik na government.

di po makakarating ang aking kapatid na si lerma sajul today. ngayon po kasi ang sched ng releasing ng passport niya,3-4 pm, 19FP3-34 ang nakasulat sa small blu paper. nasa oriental mindoro po kasi siya, at sa kasalukuyan ay binabaha ang aming lugar at di siya makaluwas.

This is a major breakthrough in the industry!!! But would this really speed-up the passporting procedure and eradicate corruption in the system? I sincerely do hope so, coz I have been a victim of numerous inconsistencies in the DFA queues.
And as I read the feedbacks here, I could see some flaws in your system (i.e. delayed reply on emails sent).
I believe you have a call center to do the job for you in the information dissemination… can I get hold of the phone number so I could make more inquiry before I use the new system?
More power to the DFA officials for a well-decided move on this one. God bless po.

i just wanted to know what is the duly accomplished form and requirements we have to bring on our given schedule? i am married to indian, and i am filipina. dito kami kinasal pero when i attended the seminar the woman told me na i need to follow the regulation here na kung ano yung surname ng husband ko, yun dapat ang maging surname ko. kaso pag pupupnta na kami ng malaysia, hindi ko na siya kaano ano kasi dapat kung ano yung first name niya, yun dapat ang surname ko. ano po kaya ang mga requirements and how long will it take to process to change my surname? thanks…

I already have a passport but I got married on May 31, 2007. I would like to know what steps to take to have my last name on the passport changed to my husband’s. Do I apply for a new passport or only ask for “amendments” to be done on my current one. I already went to the DFA passport area and got two different forms but the one on the information desk could not give me any straight answer. I have completed both forms. Now do I have to ask you for an appointment? If so, kindly give me one.

Tanong ko lang po, pwede pa rin po bang mag-renew ng passport without applying for an appointment online? Yung, pupunta na lang ako dun at ako na lang maglalakad. Para kasing mas complicated pa yata pag mag-online kasi yung iba natatagalan para ma-receive ung confirmation.

Hi, i want to apply for new passport and i need it asap because my 3 minor nieces’ renewal of passport is dependent on mine. They need to renew asap as the USA INS wants all their documents before may 25th of this year. I’ll be travelling with them as their mom cant go home to fetch them as she is pregnant. Problem is my birth certificate name is different from what i’m using eversince including in all my legal papers but i’m willing to follow my birth certificate name and just fix everything after bringing them there. Is it alright then to do so and just bring an affidavit stating that i am the same person? BTW my baptismal certificate has a typographical error too but all details are correct except that the order of name was interchange. can i show that as proof also as well as my marriage contract. Pls. help me as we are pressed for time and no one can bring them there except me. Thanks!

I would like to inquire if I can go to DFA tomorrow. I wasn’t aware that we should renew the passport 6mos prior to expiration date. My Dad already booked us a ticket anda hotel accomodation on May 25, is it possible to go straight to DFA tomorrow to renew my passport (exp date July 2008)? It would be better if you set an appointment through the email address given above, they replied after 30 minutes or so after sending it. prepare all the necessary documents para wala na hassle. you can check requirements and print the application form through DFA’s website. have your pics taken before the appointment, dont forget the blank pen and glue or paste….
It just took us about 30 minutes to finish everything from submitting the necessary docs to payment to the encoding section. the lady told us that if you go there without a scheduled appointment, thats where long queue is plus they process it for 14 days pa because they allow expedited process for walk-in applicants. we had our passport delivered na lang through 2go for an addition p99 each so that we don’t have to go back just to get the passport, they will claim it for you on the said release date and deliver it the next day… convenient db?

Just want to know the requirements to renew my passport & change my status,coz im now married… How long it twill take me to get it done? 1. Qualified passport applicants may avail of the DFA Passport Appointment System by sending their request via internet, email address: appointment@dfa.gov ph
2. Passport applicants applying for appointment must provide the following information:
a. Full name of applicant (first name, middle name and surname);
b. Date of birth;
c. Place of birth;
d. Latest Passport Number and Date of Issuance
now, kung natatagalan kayo sa reply ng dfa, you may better go personally na nga lang.
another option.. may mga online passport renewal services na private… like passport.com.ph … pero siempre may charge yan.. at kailangan pa din ang personal appearance nyo for thumbmarks etc.. pero minimal time spent.. kase di kana pipila :D

ei! totoo po itong on-line appointment, nagawa ko na to, then print ng kanilang downloadable application form. acknowdgement nila, right after the email tlaga! then sabi nga magbibigay sila ng appointment schedule with in 7 days, pero 2 days lang, meron na!
pagdating sa DFA, pila na sa appointment schedule. pero aun nga, mahabang pilahan…
pero ok na yun, at least di ka na balik ng balik!

gudday! my problem arise when i renew my passport. upon renewing my passport the clerk give a receipt on what day i could get my new passport.it stated their the date is august 19,2008 at 3-5pm in the afternoon. but as i went to their said office.they told me that my new passport is not on their office.they dont know where is it.they said my new passport may landed to other branch.

I want to renew my passport online, but there’s a need for correction regarding the day of my birthdate.My true birthday w/c is Oct 4which i had been using since childhood but that was not the date that had been registered and it was revealed on my birth certificates i secured from Local Civil registry and the NSO. The first time i applied for passport,affidavit of correction sworned by a lawyer then,has had been honored.I would just like to use now the date,Oct 3,that has registered on my BC. I wasted my time waiting for my appointment.. I applied for on-line appointment last 13 October 2008 and I received a response thru email that I will get my schedule after 7 working days. i am a new passport applicant. If thinking about the cost it is really more expensive having it process online, but considering that you will not be lining up for a LONG TIME,especially if busy and distance of DFA, it is definitely less hassle for me then it is quite ok. I applied online thru passport.com.ph. You could choose the date that your documents would be picked-up by 2GO courier for DFA, even the appointment date for personal appearance and delivery of passport right to your home. They have a form you need to fill up, a teleserv call center agent will call you up a few days later to confirm the pick-up of documents for application. You can even check the status of your application.

last april nag renew ako ng passport.i was expecting to have the new machine readable passport.unluckily DFA issued me the same old green one.having 5 names,middle and last name not yet included was their reason.DFA doesnt have enough space for a number of names in their system. But I was informed that by 2010 the green passport will no longer be used.what do you suggest me to do?

after two days of filling up the online form i received an acknowledgement letter to wait for 7 days for the reference number and appointment schedule. it’s the 2nd week now and i still get nothing. ONLINE appointment schedule is convenient for everyone but make it work.

I will be on a 2 week vacation in February 2009. My passport will expire on July 23, 2009 but I wanted to renew it in February during my leave. How long will it take to process my passport renewal via this “appointment on line process”? Would it take longer and more time consuming than seeking the help of a travel agent? This is not tax money in the works to serve the people. This is a move by DFA in favor
of Pilipinas Teleserv who was at a disadvantage versus yourself going to the DFA and
get an earlier appointment than through Teleserv appointment system.
In the past, if you go to DFA in the morning of November 10, you will get an appointment
in the afternoon on the same day. If you go through Teleserv, you will get a much later
appointment because Teleserv need to pickup your documents.
Today, with that brilliant move from the DFA. Doing it yourself and doing it through Teleserv
makes no difference. Teleserv gained equal footing. If you go to DFA in the morning of
Jan 26, 2009 you will not get an appointment on the same day, but your appointment will
be on Jan 30, 2009. Through Teleserv, you will get the same appointment date!!!!!!!!!!
With millions of Filipinos trying to acquire a passport (even if they’re travelling nowhere),
passport services is a good money making machine.

Sino ang naperhuwisyo sa ganitong pagbabago?
Sagot: Ang mga OFW na nabigyan ng ma-igsing bakasyon,
let’s say 2 or 3 weeks. At umaasang ma-renew ang
kanilang passport. Dahil natatandaan pa nila na it only
take a week or 2 to renew their passport 4 years ago.
Not until the greedy Pilipinas Teleserv came into the
picture and promoted their online money making machine.
And asked DFA to align DFA’s appointment system to
theirs, the result is a delayed appointment up to 7 days.
To further increase the number of their parukyanos,
Teleserv is trying to promote that the a passport is the most
valid govt issued ID, so everybody must have one.
The question is, how many of those passport holders actually
got the chance to use them? Those un-needy passport applicants
are just making Teleserv rich. Those applicants are just making
a huge bottleneck in DFA and made Teleserv’s services look attractive.

Good morning,
Me and my co worker here in Equatorial Guinea will arrive in Manila by February 20, 2009. Can we set an on line appointment for Feburary 21, 2009 (a Saturday), a week before that date (as per the on line requirement)? We have a very short leave and copies of our renewed passports are required before a Letter of Invitation (LOI) is issued by the Equatorial Guinea government for us to re-enter into their country. The LOI processing will take about 3 weeks so we wanted our passports renewed the shortest time possible.

This is my follow up letter of Feb 28. Well, well, up to this moment, I haven’t received my appointment schedule for the renewal of my passport. You have mentioned that waiting period of the date of appointment is within 7 days from the date of receipt of the request. Again, I will repeat, I have requested on Feb. 17 and you have confirmed receipt of my request on that very same day. And it’s 2 weeks now.
What’s wrong with your system? Please reply ASAP.

Prior to my follow-up messages above, it’s been a month long last March 17 that I have waited for my appoinment schedule, and unfortunately, i never received any schedule. I ended up going to the DFA personally.
So folks, I suggest you just go to the DFA directly if you still haven’t received your appointment schedule within 7 days.

While I was reading all your posts regarding no confirmation after setting up an appointment with the DFA, I couldn’t help but say how lucky I am. I filled out the appointment form in the morning and when I opened my email in the afternoon, voila! My confirmation email coming from DFA was right before my very eyes. I’m not really sure if I should rejoice this being lucky of mine because I won’t be able to keep my appointment. The time they gave me will not work with my schedule. I need to re-schedule it but I don’t know who to contact so I can cancel my current appointment and schedule a new one.

DFA has a new system of appointment scheduling. please just check their website. they won’t reply to your emails because that method was already scrapped out and you have to schedule your appointments through their website. i was applying for my sister through email when i realized that there is a new system. they will usually reply in less than a week. to the writer of this article, please update your info. thanks.

Aside from your 7 days (rush) do you have more faster than that since we do have only two weeks break and we need to go back every time? Can it be reality as to make more efficient the service of our government to the people. Since even in our very own airport a lot of predator looking after passport so if we will make everybody happy , anyway people pay for it and its not gratis. don’t you have any record of it? anyway if you are married now you will need the marriage contract from nso and bc as well so for your new status. but in legal view you need to report it when you lost it as its your legal document that might use by other people without your knowledge. so next time keep some record or copy of all your legal document(s) for safety reason.

A. PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS FOR FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS:
* Personal Appearance is required.
* Duly accomplished application form.
* Birth Certificate (BC) in Security Paper (SECPA) issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or Certified True Copy (CTC) of BC issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO.
* Three (3) colored photos of the applicant taken against a royal blue background. Applicant should be in decent attire with collar. Photo must be of good quality, and must have been taken within the last six (6) months. Photo size: 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm. Facial image size: Not less than 3 cm. DFA has the right to reject photos that do not comply with specifications and international standards.
* Proof of identity / Supporting documents indicating full name, date and place of birth and citizenship
* Other Supporting documents.

* For married women, who want to use surname of their spouse
* Marriage Contract (MC) in Security Paper issued by NSO or Certified True Copy issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO.

I just received my renewed passport but I noticed that it has an error on my birthdate. My birth date is feb 01, 1971 but the passport states feb. 02, 1971. Is it Ok to use my passport having this error and just correct this for the next renewal? I really hope to hear from you soon as I am going to use my passport next month for travel abroad. Thanks!

hello po, i am single when i acquired my passport, then i just got married here and trying to renew my passport because i am planning to visit pinas this coming december, magkakaproblema po ba kung gagamitin ko yung last name ko instedad of my husband’s last name? maari ko po bang gamitin pa yung last name ko sa passport ko?

@ Yolanda mabuti pang paayos mo na muna ang correction kasi dadami ang problema mo diyan. Yan ang gustong sabihin ng mga taga DFA na wag magmadali kaya ipinakikita sa inyo ang preview ng data para pag na iprint na tama lahat at ayun sa iyong detalye.
@ Janice kung ang immigrant card / o us passport mo eh yung husband surname mo ala kang problema. anyway kapag nag renew naman ehikakabit mo rin yung luma mong passport for info ng mga immigration officer. bakit hindi mo diyan sa us ipa renew sa embassy o consulate kaya mas kombinyente ka pa diba? may mga outreach sila ngayon sa states check mo lang sa dfa site

kung nasa pinas ka madami kasi kailangan mo ng notirasadong affidavit of loss police clearance , nbi clearance at immigration clearance tapos yung usual requirements ng passport renewal 9i.e litrato, application form dala ka na rin ng bc with nso para sigurado ka).
kung nasa abroad ka naman police report at affidavit of loss pwede mong ilapit sa consulate o embassy depende kung alin ang malpit sa iyo

Good day! I want to apply passport for my mother, already senior citizen, 67 yrs old. Walang copy ng marriage contract nya sa NSO, negative ang binigay ng NSO. Pano kung walang ma-produce na marriage contract from NSO? Nasa kanya pa ang original copy ng marriage contract nya. Pwede na ba yun? Tatanggapin ba ng dfa kng walang copy from NSO? Thanks.

good morning po..ask ko lng po if ok na kht wla akong birth certificate(SECPA)na i submit ksi bukas na po ang appointment ko sa phil.embassy dito sa japan,kasi ang nakalagay po kasi is old passport or birth certificate(SECPA)..need ko po reply nyo..thank you po

as per requirement old passport lang (green) ang kailangan mo pag nag renew ka kailangan lang ang bc kapag dual ka pero kung pinoy ka lumang passport lang . application form filled up at litrato saka ang pambayad mo

hi jhun, im from cebu. i got a confirmation regarding my aperance this comng sept 9. i only enter my name but we are 4 of us inclunding my kids mag renew nag passport, do i ned to ask another date for them or posible ba e include ko sla sa time ko? we wl fly to manila together, i hope u can help me, tnx

well pasensya ka na nadale ata ng admin eh sinagot na kita ng nasa office ako kasi +4 GMT kasi kami eh yung chance mo eh dalhin mo na lang ang passport ng mga anak mo kung minor kasi dapat may appointment din sila kasi nga individual ang appointment system kasi isang passport number lang ang mag i encode nila sa system , try to make appointment and reply sa OCA na i adjust ang timing ng mga anak mo para isang lakad na lang kayo. dala ka rin ng mga mc at bc galing ng nso kung dual ang mga anak mo para isang lakad na lang

For those people waiting for their appointment schedule….CHECK YOUR SPAM MESSAGES! I found mine there after waiting for 10 days and getting angrier at DFA for ignoring me. They sent it a day after my schedule request. But my appointment will be one month after. Good thing I’m not in a rush.

Does this mean na kahit walang authenticated birth certificate from the NSO as long as may Certified True Copy (CTC) of BC issued by the Local Civil Registrar duly authenticated by NSO, pwedeng magpagawa ng passport? Yung brother ko kc 14 days pa raw bago ma process ang authenticated BC but he needs the passport already kc bibyahe na sya.

Hi po,ask ko lng po kung ilang araw po bago mare2ceive ang confirmation ng appointment after signing-up and sending ONLINE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM? Uuwi po ako sa december 2009,2weeks vacation, gusto ko pong i-renew passport ko habang nakabakasyon,ilang araw po ba pinakamabilis para sa releasing ng passport? First paki gamit nomral text kasi di naman phone format dito. About confirmation is depende kung MRP same day kasi nagamit ko na tapos if you will received it try to reply or send back with oca for re schedule in your exact day of which you can make appointment earlier to have your schedule in right time. but if you will use Epassport try to book earlier kasi may confirmation pa ito. may dalawang choice ka sa online isang MRP at epassport renewal.

I want to ask if it is okay to submit 2 applications for renewal online? I applied epassport and MRP renewal. I really intend to renew epassport na pero nakapagapply na ako ng MRP renewal bago ko nalaman na iba pala ang application ng epassport. So nag apply uli ako thru online sa epassport na. kung maka receive ako ng 2 confirmations, is it okay to ignore the MRP renewal confirmation? please help po!!

ok lang kung naging dalawa kasi nga maypagkakaiba kung sa MRP yung appointment mo eh final na (pwera lang kung hihirat ka sa OCA na ireschedule ka), while sa Epassport may mga email confirmation pa na kailngan mong sagutin kasi nga limited pa ang binibigyan nito.kasi kailangan nilang masigurado na darating ka sa ibibigay nilang petsa para sa iyo

Gud evening po, ask ko lang po bout sa problem ng mother ko bout sa passport nya.. 1994 pa po nung mawala nya yung passport nya.. and then gusto nya magrenew kaso di nya alam passport number nya.. pls help..

for legal way dahil may dati siyang passport eh affidavit of lost passport with supporting document . or you can call DFA and ask for some suggestion might be a new passport application will be ok and more faster..
