Earth Hour Philippines 2009
Earth Hour 2009 is an international campaign calling for serious and sustained action on global warming.
The campaign is requesting all the households and establishments to turn off non-essential lights from 8:30PM to 9:30PM (Philippine time) on March 28, Saturday, as an expression of support.
It hopes to involve at least 10 million Filipinos and 500 businesses in key cities across the Philippines. Globally, it aims to reach one billion people in 1,000 cities all over the world.
The Earth Hour was launched in Australia on March 31, 2007. The event mobilized 2.2 million people and 2,100 businesses in Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour.

kau talaga… ako all the time switch off ang tv, component, aircon, ilaw at lahat ng de kuryente na gamit…. kc po wala ako nun lahat eh… wala nga ko bahay! palaboy na gusgusin waaaaaaaaaaaaa, pwede po ba makitira sa inyo?!!!! peace…
Ako nag participate, pero ofis namin nde, at least yung hauz ko walang kuryenteng gumagana sa mga oras na nakasaad… kc night shift ako eh hahahahaha

i think that it is not so successful. some people are not aware of this campaign. we should promote a permanent solution for the environment crisis. some tend to participate just for fun or “maki uso”. if we want to help in solving this crisis, we should start it from ourselves.
