Earthquake in the Philippines on July 18 a hoax – PHIVOLCS
A prophecy made a Brazilian psychic who goes by the name of Jucelino Nóbrega da Luz about a magnitude 8.1 earthquake that will hit the country on July 18, 2008 is a hoax according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The alleged prophecy has been posted and reposted in various blogs and e-mails. PHIVOLCS Director Renato Solidum Jr., however, cautioned the public against spreading wrong information to other people. He reminded the public that not all things in the world wide web or sent through SMS are true. “Nobody can predict an earthquake as to the exact magnitude, time and actual date,” Solidum said. Earthquakes can happen anytime, especially in earthquake-prone countries such as ours therefore we must know what to do before, during and after an earthquake.

if its true or not…the best thing to do is pray for incidence like this! instead of making this a joke, people should be more responsible and cautious enough to publicize this elsewhere without proper basis! coz this is not a party that we’re waiting to happen! this involves a major phenomenon that we dont know what will happen after it hit us!!!

Actually, earthquakes happen all the time. It appears that many earthquakes are so weak that we can’t even feel it.

still it is an interesting read and whether you believe it or not now it does’nt matter when it happens then it’s correct if it did’nt happen so what then its deduced that further future event is probably way of mark too

Two things will happen:
When you believe the prediction, the tendency is that you will prepare, you will pray and you will repent. When it happens and you are affected, at least when you die with it, you had already prayed and you had repented.
If it won’t happen, then you will lost nothing – everybody is happy surely our prayers are answered.
When you don’t believe and it happens, surely you know what will be your situation. If it won’t happen, then for sure, whatever warnings in the future, you won’t believe it anymore.

wala namn lindol sa wakas dahil ang 8.1 na magnitude ay isang mapanganib dahil ito ya malakas diba…pero sa bi ng iba mayroon daw saan po ba nangyari ung lindol sa mindanao?…ask ko lng po kung naganap po ba sa metro manila ung lindol un lng po un ^^
