Ely Buendia rushed to the Hospital
Ely Buendia who was the former vocalist of the phenomenal band Eraserheads was rushed to hospital due to a heart attack.
The 36 year old Buendia came from a gig in Laguna when he complained of chest pains. An angioplasty was performed to unblock his arteries and is reportedly in a stable condition. He will be out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) tonight.
Update: Ely’s first angioplasty was done at the Asian Hospital. He was then brought to the Philippine Heart Center for his second angioplasty. Ely is now in a stable condition and is on the way to recovery.

Naku! Kaya pala matamlay siya nung nag show sila sa Boardwalk SBMA nung New Year’s Eve! But still, pinagbigyan pa rin nya ako na magpa-autograph! And i will keep it for the rest of my life! Sana maging ok na siya! Get well soon Ely!

About 2 nights ago, napanaginipan ko si Ely… nakapagtataka lang, k’se last I encountered them/him was more than a decade ago as Eraserheads…
Anyway, sana gumaling na siya, kasi, so far, he still holds the Pinoy record as most talented & raw musician…

Had a bad feeling kasi etong idol ko na to since Ultraelectromagneticpop was released in a rural Record Bar sa Baliuag way back when I was in grade 3, may heart ailment din pla just like me. Really felt bad man! Dasal lang tayo sa nasa taas! Kip da tansan man! Keep our life!

Nag-aalala lang ako na baka hindi na matuloy ang activities ng Pupil, worse, baka ma-disband na nang tuluyan dahil sa development na ‘to. Hinihintay ko pa naman yung second album nila. Still, ang pinakamahalaga pa rin ay maka-recover si Ely. We almost lost one of our best contemporary Filipino musicians. Ang pinakamahalga pa rin siguro ay magpasalamat na na-survive nya yung first angioplasty.

grabe tinext lang sakin ng brother ko about what happened to ely buendia nagulat talaga ako kasi sobrang idol ng bf ko yun kaya kahit dito kami sa dubai hinahantay nya magconcert yun tpos tinext ko sya umiyak grabe sabi ko ok na sya mula grade school lahat ng album ni ely meron sya grabe pati attire ni elly ginagaya as in idol nya talga dun ko nakitang napakalungkot nya kapangalan pa ni ely tatay ko kaya nag aalala ako sakanya but my father is now in the hands of god he already pass away, pagaling ka po mahal ka nmin

Hope he is doing fine na ngayon….. traidor na sakit yan.. i’d still remember nasa medical city (emergency room ) ako nun ng ang katabi kong lalaking fanatic na ubod ng tsismoso ang nagbalita sakin na na heart attack daw sya…. Infairness,,,, kahit na may sakit ako nakichicka pa rin ako kaseh collector din ako ng mga album nila.. God Bless Ely…
