Ely Buendia undergoes 3rd angioplasty

Pinoy rock music icon and former Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia underwent another angioplasty procedure Monday morning following the band’s reunion concert that was cut short by his hospitalization.

Angioplasty is a surgical operation where narrowed or blocked arteries are widened. Day Cabuhat, manager of Buendia said that the blood vessel that was operated upon is now “100 percent fully restored” and that Buendia is recovering.

Prior to the incident, the band was able to perform 15 songs including hits like “Alapaap,” “Ligaya” “With A Smile,” “Harana,” Fruitcake,” “Huwag Mo Nang Itanong”, “Kama Supra” and “Toyang” in front of thousands of fans who flocked to the Fort Bonifacio Open Field in Taguig City.

In an interview with MYX music channel, Raymund Marasigan promised that there will be a repeat of the said reunion concert.
