There will be no classes (walang pasok) on February 25 (Saturday), the anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution as it has been declared a holiday by Malacañang.
The announcement was made in November 2011 via President Noynoy Aquino’s Proclamation No. 295 – Declaring The Regular Holidays, Special (Non-Working) Days, And Special Holiday (For All Schools) For The Year 2012.
This year marks the 26th year celebration of the “bloodless revolution” with the theme “Edsa 26: Anong Taya Mo Para Sa Pilipinas Natin?”
Executive Secretary and Edsa People Power Commission chairman Paquito Ochoa is encouraging all government departments, agencies, GOCCS and LGUs to conduct their own respective events related to the said celebration through lectures, film showing, and community services.
