Filipino congressmen lash out at Americans over Desperate Housewives

Some of our congressmen are taking advantage of the media hype created by the season premiere of Desperate Housewives where Teri Hatcher’s character insulted the Philippine medical community.

Congressman Bienvenido Abante said that not even 15% of Americans go to college and that you can buy a diploma in the US for 50 dollars. Congressman Roilo Golez, on the other hand, said that 20% of Americans cannot find the United States on the World map and that’s how ignorant they are, he concluded. Both Congressmen Abante and Dan Fernandez mistakenly called Teri as Teri Thatcher confusing her with the former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher. ABC Studios already issued an apology to the Philippine medical community and now we think that these congressmen owe the American people an apology for calling them ignorant and for calling Teri as Teri Thatcher.
