Finally, NCLEX in the Philippines

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSB) of the US finally agreed to administer the National Council on Licensure Examinations (NCLEX) here in the Philippines.

This in spite of the June 2006 nursing licensure exam scandal. Prior to this development, NCLEX takers had to take the exam in Guam, Saipan, or Hongkong which adds to the expenses whereas now they’ll be able to save at least $200 in travel expenses (Hongkong fare). The NCLEX in itself costs $350. Pearson VUE will facilitate the NCLEX here in the Philippines.
