Fireworks (Korean Drama) – ABS-CBN
Fireworks is an upcoming tagalized Korean drama on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
Cast members include Han Chae Young, Kang Ji Hwan, Park Eun Hye, and Yoon Sang Hyun. Shin Na Ra (played by Han Chae Young), a woman who is almost thirty welcomes her boyfriend of ten years back from his business trip. During their dinner, he tells her that he not only had an affair but fell in love with another woman and their relationship ended. To make herself feel better, Na Ra drinks a large amount of alcohol and unknowingly dropped the ring her ex-boyfriend gave her into a random stranger’s cup. The stranger, In-Jae (played by Kang Ji Hwan), drinks the shot without seeing the ring and both of them end up in the hospital. Na Ra will then attempt to take a spicy revenge on her ex-boyfriend.

Oh.. good news for all kapamilya..Fireworks (2006) is something to watch out for.. Han Chae Young is so funny here.. the lead star from Only You. The lead actor is Kang Ji Hwan — one of the good looking actors in Korea and very good at his craft.. He’s the leading man in Be Strong Geum Soon.. Too bad, the 2 giant networks haven’t thought of airing 2 of his recent works — Hong Gil Dong (2008) and Capital Scandal (2007). KJH is so great in these 2 dramas — comedy, drama, action and romance in one. The same is true with Fireworks — this is worth watching..

hindi ito ung fireworks na si lee young ae (jang geum) ang gumanap. iba ito. si han chae young (sassy girl chun young, only you, my girl, endless love, boys before flowers) ang bida dito. ung boyfriend niya ay ung gumanap na director sa “marrying a millionaire” and asawa ni lizette (eugene) sa “3 dads with one mommy”, si yoon sang hyun. si park ji hwan ang leading man niya. ok to.

hindi naman sana magiging confusing ung dalawang drama kung ini-release lang dito sa’tin na buo ung title. alam nyo naman sa pinas, it’s either dadagdagan or babawasan nila ung title ng binili nilang foreign series to catch attention.
anyway, ang original title ng kay han chae young ay, “exhibition of fireworks” (bool kkot nol i) at ung kay lee young ae naman ay “love as fireworks” (bool ggot).

Hayst. Who watch TV on television today??? When there is Internet. Mysoju.com where u can watch all of asian teledramas… surfthechannel.com or tvshack.net where u can watch european/western tv series!!! Gawd! Regardless, Philippine TV Networks do their best for globalization?? But should it be worth contemplating to talk about our own shows in the world stage??? Hindi naman siguro maikakaila na may network rivalry din sa ibang bansa pero wag nu naman ipakita sa kanila na sa sarili natin nagaaway-away pa tayo samantalang sila pag nilabas ang produkto nila sa asian market (sa world market pa nga), my sense of propriety pa rin sila kasi kalahi pa rin nila un. And people should criticize a tv series on its own, kung nadidistort ng network ang quality ng tv series na un eh well they should know better dami ng umaangal!!! (lol) Sabagay, sa simula pa lang nmn wala nmn tayong problema sa FTLY and other series na alam namn natn magnda.

Sa totoo lang dba Dubbing at Promotion lang naman ang problema. tingin ko lang ABS-CBN veteran sa ganyan.. kahit anime at ung mga cartoons tuwing umaga maaus ang dubbing. They dont mix their voice talents sa anime with the teledramas, may few na ganun pero they did it well not to be obvious. Sa GMA, hayst cguro iba focus ng GMA more spend cla sa pag-cr8 ng sariling shows but they’re also old enough in the industry to know better with translation and promoting foreign asian shows ( western nmn english d nmn nla translate) with other Southeast asian countries china, korea, japan, taiwan, mahirap din nmn cguro ang mag-dub pero cguro with culture they r much tied up to each other na less ang problem compare sa tin. if u think this way, we have i guess a much bigger issues, as nation standing side by side with our neighboring countries afflicted by our history nd culture.
