Girl’s feet cut off on Superman Tower of Power ride at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
Police confirmed that a girl’s feet were severed when the Superman Tower of Power ride malfunctioned at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Amusement Park in Louisville.

A cord wrapped around the girl’s feet severed them at her ankles. The girl was taken to a local hospital.
“We saw the cable just snap,” a witness said. “And as it was coming down, it snapped again and then the people on the ride came and just hit the ground. When I went up there, the lady she was just sitting there and she didn’t have any legs. She didn’t have any legs at all. She was just calm, probably in shock for everything.”

They’ll be watching those rides like a hawk to make sure it doesn’t re-occur.

What a terrible thing to happen to such a young girl… My thoughts and prayers go out to her.
The same ride is also at Canada’s Wonderland but with a different name, Drop Zone. I used to love that ride and now I doubt I’ll ever trust getting on it again.
