I think we are obtaining our connection from japan, taiwan and countries above philippines via sea cables. So earthquake can be a factor. I am using smartbro and I called the hotline number to ask why the connection is slow they said that it is about the taiwan earthquake thing.. ^_^

rubbish… rubbish… and more rubbish… hoy, globe, bakit kayo pa speak n’ surf pa palpak naman, tapos limited yung service areas nyo…. kayo rin! ayaw ko sanang mag-PLDT myDSL kasi masyado na silang sikat, gusto ko sana 2nd or 3rd player na ISP, kaso binigo nyo ako… Gudlak na lang sa inyo… kayo jan PLDT, wag lalaki ulo, baka isang araw mas palpak pa kayo sa speak n’surf, baka di mo na maabot ang mundo, kayo rin!!!

alam nyo depende lang sa area yan ma pa smart bro or globe kaya dapat alamin nyo muna if ano ang malakas sa area nyo. smart bro ang gamit ko unlimited na 999 lang! hindi rin maganda ang pre paid if sa haus ka kasi mapamahal kalang. maganda lang if may laptop ka at pang business trip.
actually gusto ko din sana mag globe broadband kaya lang pag punta ko dun sinabihan ako na puno na sa area namin so mbgal na ang sagap kaya di na ako tumuloy. cge sana naka tulog ang kwento ko ehehehe!!!

please dont subscribe sa smartbro…. please lang… super inconsiderate ng customer service nila ma-pa-over the phone and personal.
My aunt who is also using the service is very disgusted with their service. Walang connection madalas tapos pang umulan patay na.
There was this time that my aunt asked if they could move the canopy or kung ano yung kumukuha ng signal para makakuha ng connection… yung technician pumunta ng 7pm ( my aunt waited the whole afternoon just to see the technician) tapos ayun kinabit lang yung device sa bintana… same thing happened walang connection.
Then my tita asked if she can have the service disconnected na lang. she called dozens of times already to cancel the service that doesnt even work properly sa Cust. Serv. and sabi nila they have to finish the freaking contract daw… Do you want to pay for the service that doesnt even work at all? Think about it…..

I’m one of the commentors of Jehzlau Concepts (Smart Bro Sucks Topic). Lots of people having problems with Smart Bro connectio, neither I. But it wasn’t Smart’s fault, It’s you and your PC’s fault. Not because you tweaked it until it’s broken, the LAN Driver is the one of the most unknown problems for newbie users. Try to determine what is the model of your LAN Card (not the modem, the one that has larger socket.) Try to update it, or if you have an onboard/built-in LAN Card, go to the site where it is Manufactured.
Another is your vicinity location. Provinces maybe not that good in Internet unless, you’re near a city or a SMART Connection Site near you.
Another one is the position of your router (the one that is white and like a pencil case). Try to extend the height of the rod where the router is placed, make sure nothing clogs it up, no trees, no rooftops, no neigbors hell.
Try these if you deserve to have a good connection.
Or if you hate SMART, try to have a PLDT Quick Install Kit, locate them at any SM Department Stores.

I just don’t recommend you to try Globe 595, Try the PLDT Quick Install Kit.
Why PLDT Quick Install Kit?
1. Simple to install. Approx. 5-15mins depending on your skill.
2. 24-Hour Wait period (Unlike engineered maintenance, took about 3 days).
I just didn’t said that it was superb, it just balanced speed.
If you want to have a superb speed, I think it will be on Late 2009/Early 2010.
I’m sorry about it. But it’s true, we need another foreign company for these wanted speed.
Sometimes, being independent isn’t good. That’s the way it is.

Kung gusto nyo ng magandang connection do not apply broadband connection. Di pa ganun kaganda ang broadband dito sa pilipinas. Mag apply n lang kau sa pldt sigurado ang speed ng wired na hindi mapuputol pag nagpalit ng weather. Meron kasing effect un sa antenna like sa tv pag umuulan di masyadong maganda ang kuha it is because ung contact natatakpan ng ulap, hangin or any barriers. Also depende rin sa area mo kung marami ng gumagamit means traffic na, kung icompare mo sa kalsada pag kokonti ang sasakyan mabilis kang makakapagpatakbo pero pag marami, kelangan maghintay bago ka makarating ganun din ang pag balik. tapos broad band pa di pa ganun ka stable ang connectivity mo kung nag palit ang weather or kung masyadong malayo ang reception ng antenna.
Unlike kung sa wired like pldt walang tendency na maputol ang linya unless kung naputol ung wire or nagkaroon din ng problem sa side ng pldt. Pero di mo pa rin maiiwasan ang traffic sa dami ng user na gumagamit. pero pede nilang i maximize ung control ng pumpasok at lumalabas na bandwidth.

If anyone else is planning to have the Globe Promo 595, your connection will be up to 233-259kbps (256 in short). That means when you’re downloading files, the kb/s range is from 18-32kb/s and it depends on the download mirror (link). It’s good for starters.
But it doesn’t mean it’s unlimited. :D

im an smartbro user and a gamer..hmm im using it for a year na..hmm satisfied naman ako sa connection ko..ung ibang tropa ko smartbro din kaso di ganun kabilis tulad ng sa akin..i think naka apekto ung pagdagdag ko ng 20feet sa antenna at sa paghanap ng magandang signal ng net..(sabhin nyo sa nagaayos un) at ung specs ng computer..^^4G ram..di naman lag ang ran ko at gg..

4GB is a good one for a casual gamer, but it won’t be that necessary of you’ve got Windows Vista. DirectX 10 Just have its algorithm that enables the sharing inside your PC. You’ll be experiencing a great performance…

i was once a globe broadband subscriber. i can say i was just wasting my money then because of the poor internet connection and poor service as well. for one year akong nagtiis sa globe tapos we paid P1, 600.00 pa a month. grabeh! but my friend advised me to switch to pldt myDSL and i was glad coz i can really see the difference of the speed. and we are only paying only P1,200 a month. though i have experienced disconnection with myDSL but still i can say it’s much more better thaN globe broadband.

ay teka may pahabol pa…ang download speed ko sala sa init sala sa lamig..kahit 1MBPS and internet speed ko umaabot nga na 5kbps-1ookbps..pero pag mga 90kbps na bumabalik sa 60kbps..kaso nga alaways na 20kbps that sucks…pero sabi sa akin mabagal lang daw cpu ko… 128Ram lang kasi ako eh minimum daw dapat sa globe broadband 256Ram required 512ram…

hmm… mga 1 month pa lng ako subscriber ng Globe ung 1mps plan nila ^_^ and so far ok nmn ang service para sakin apply kami sa globe after 3 days dyan na agad ung magkakabit ang naging prob. lng nung una e di alam nung nagkabit bt d ako makapagbrowse nung knabit na nila hehehe kami pa ng troubleshoot… ung anti virus lng pala …
anyway 1mps ung plan ko at 1mps ang nakukuha kong speed .. well after a few tweaks nga lng. speedtest.net ranging from 900kbps to 1.200kbps
minsan parang nabubug pa nga ung speedtest ng Globe ung Globe utilities d ko alam kung natry nyo un … umabot ako sa 44,XXX Kbps akalain mo un ^_^
pero overall ok ang Globe para sakin ^_^

Mag Bayantel nalang kayo.. lagi mabilis ang service nila….well kc malapit lang sila sa area ko at wala ako problem sa speed.. although 300+kbps lang ang binabayaran ko pero..sa gabi 700+kbps naman ang nakukuha ko…and P899 binabayaran ko….. pero pang home use lang talga bayantel DSL nila.. kung busness…. lagi may problem pero lagi naman may tech na pumupunta ^___^… there is no ok na ok talgang connection d2 sa pinas… try nyo ung SUN broadband… its unlimited pero limited sya kung malayo sa area nyo ang malapit na signal ehehehe ^____^ …… so pay high for a high speed ^,..,^

i have a different experience with my globbe wireless broadband. ang bilis ng connection ko. mas mabilis pa sya sa existing isp dito sa amin (zamboanga). in fact, mas mabilis pa sya sa pldt dsl. although sometimes i experience some poor connection when the weather is bad. but overall… im really satisfied with the service globe gives me.
here’s a side note…
globelines broadband is kinda new here in zamboanga. maybe ngayon lang to maganda ang speed at after sales support nila. sana naman hindi. its a challenge for globelines to maintain their hold here in zamboanga.

CEBU Area: Kayong mga taga Globe BroadBand Ayusin nyo naman ang speed ng internet..2 weeks ng mabagal ang internet.. 2mbps pa naman kinuha ko na speed.. pag check sa speedtest wala sa kalahati ang speed..sob.. as of June 2009.. super bagal na..

inde talaga recommended ung broadband kasi inde pa talaga sya stable. layo layo pa ung signal nila, meron pa nga nalalaktawang bayan. pero pag pldt naman, (based on my experience) namimili lang sila ng kakabitan. here in my place at masapang victoria laguna, may computer shop kami, (no connections of any internet / broadband, kaya lan games lang sya.) nag apply ako ng pldt mydsl, then i waited, siguro mga 2months, lagi ko pina-follow up everyday. un bandang huli sabi nila wala pa daw pldt dito samin and binalik nila ung papel ko. hellow, katabi lang ng shop namin ung poste na pinagkakabitan nung box ng pldt, and may pldt telephone line dito sa lugar namin, at isa pa the next barangay na susmunod samin eh dayap calauan laguna na may pldt mydsl. think about it? at may nakausap ako na technician ng UPSIGHT, the one who check the box at that poste na nabanggit ko, sabi nya may bakante pa at may pldt dito. nakakasama lang talaga ng loob eh,may pang bayad naman ako. tinatamad lang ba kau or namimili at palakasan lang ang laban? kung ganun lang, magsara na kau. “inde kau patas lumaban”

ung globe d2, pag tuntong nang madaling araw, balibag na… ewan ko kung ma-tweak pa yan… ang alam ko lang, sa smart dati, may scam… ung 512 nila, kalahati lang… smart bro un ha… tapos, dinaya na lang… bumilis naman… ang kaso, nagbago or nag-upgrade nga… so parang d na nagana ung daya… so sa globe, wala pa akong nakakausap na mandarambong… ang laging sabi nung nakakausap ko, ‘tol, try mo yang sky broadband’.. muka daw maganda.. kasi, pag wala daw connection or bumabagal, manood ka na lang sa cable… :)) mawala ung yamot mo… anyway, maganda ba ung sky broadband??
kc, super globe ang gamit ko ngayon.. nakaka-yamot lang mag-isip… d ko nga alam kung tlagang sa modem na ang diperensya or tlagang dumidiskarte lang nanag pailalim tong mga mayayaman na to eh…
anyway, walang makausap sa call center or sa tech service… malamang eh umiiwas sa mura…

HAAAAIIII!!! nakaka inis ang GLOBE service.. pangit ng internet .. I’m paying promptly every month.. tapos sila PROMPTLY namang maDISCONNECT para daw mag upgrade ng system nila… BAKA naman indi SYSTEM ang e-upgrade o palitan BAKA ang mga TECHNICIANS at empleyado.. Arelene, walang good provider; a good advice is tanong mo mga neighbors mo about their dsl providers or wireless dsl providers. ask their experience sa speed, how much subscribe speed nila. how long sila customer ng provider. problems encountered kung everyday ba, weekly, monthly – how frequent. i have a lot from people good itong service provider na to etc etc depends on what area.

kung wireless broadband..go for smartbro.
kung desktop internet..whatever you do..never go globe broadband.
kung di ka marunong magmura, dito ka matututo…
pawalawala ang connection..mag pldt mydsl ka nalang..or better yet mag prepaid wireless ka nalang, ofcourse wag globe tattoo..tae rin yun..yun lang.

Napakawalang kwenta ng bagong Globe Broadband connection ko… Super Bagal !!! halos it takes 10-15 minutes bago ma-load ang page na inoopen mo.. Grabe !! bakit ganito??? PLEASE ANSWER ME GLOBE PEOPLE.. and one thing more.. i applied for a plan 995 with speed of 1mbps, however , upon checking hindi yun ang kinabit nila sa akin kundi yung 3G connection na 512kbps lang.. What kind of service do u have GLOBE People.. I used SMARTBRO last year and hindi ko naging problem ang ganitong klaseng kabagal na connection.. i regret that i switch to GLOBE… I hope mapalitan na nila tong kinabit nila sa aking 3G na super bagal ang connection.

Also, I just want to let out my frustration to Globe Broadband. I availed the WIMAX package (1Mbps + landline). When they installed the modem, the connections was fast, then after 2 days, sobrang bagal na. Also when I use the landline, “choppy”m kaya hindi kami magkaintindihan nung agent.

What is this! we are being fooled by our internet provider. wala kasi tayong protection na makuha sa goverment natin. imagine we are paying for the service and we are being short change wala ka naman magawa kasi parepareho sila. example sa akin 1mbps bundle with landline never ko na reach ang speed na yan pinaka mabilis 380kbps lang, ang landline always walang dial tone at in the middle of your conversation napuputol. SA GLOBE MAGSASAWA KA KATATAWG AT KAIINTAY SA REPAIR. ang dami ko na srvice request number kahit isa wala…..hangang request lang. ITO PA N

hi nako dito naman sa erea naming sa bohol wlang kwenta ang mga broadband nila lalo na sa mga probinsya. ewan koba sa mga enthenet provider nayan kong bakit ayw ipa upgrade ang satellite ng pilipinas huling hulina sa technologie puro kasi kurakot ang alm !!!bwisit talaga gusto sila nalng ang may magandang connection kailangan mag kaisa tayong mga pinoy na walng bibili sa mga product nila para malaman nila na walng kwenta ang prodocto nila at para gawin nilng upgraded !!!hayzzzz kaya nga ako nag hahanap ako ng mabibilihan ng sariling satellite unit nalng para mas ok at mabilis pa saka ganondin ang binabayad diba dyan sa mga bulok na prodocto nila eh naka connect ka nga dimo naman magamit sa kabulokan nag papayad kapa ng monthly you just wasting your money !!!!bla bla bla kaya mag kaisa tayo mga guys para malaman nila na maling mali ginagawa nilang yan na ngongolecta sila ng monthly bulok naman ang servisyo nila. mas ok pa kong sa pilppine goverment ang mga telecom para umonlad naman ang pinas kaysa sa isang tao lang dapat lahat ng malalaking resourcess eh maibalik at maging sa pilippine govermant para walng baba taas ng presyo !!!!!mamat po sa pag basa dito sa talumpati ko waaaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Sobrang CRAP ang Globe Broadband! Nawalan ako ng internet.. then 5 days na hindi pa nare-restore.. hindi lang ang facilities ang CRAP.. kundi pati mga techincal staff nila. Windows 7 lang na OS di pa nila alam i configure ang internet. then mga bobo ang nasa technical group.. mag refresh lang ng account hindi pa alam. Dapat magunaw na sila, lecheng GLOBE CRAP INTERNET!
