   Ang mahal naman. Kung sa US ka bibili, around P14k lang yung 16gb.

   I think this is cheaper than going to US then buy at 14k. You still need a VISA. :)

   And if you buy it outside, once repair is needed, you will fly back to US? :)

   The gadget is too techie and for those who has the money to spent. And 3G is so great to be experienced…. Go Globe!

   Uh, you don’t need to actually go to the US to buy one from US. -_-

   Hindi mo rin kelangang lumipad sa US just to have it repaired. I actually know somebody who owns one already, kaya din niyang magrepair.

   40k is a major ripoff!!!

   Please be informed that the US199 phone offered in US comes with a US199 plan. So the 40k is not a ripoff…..

   kaya ko bumili nyan. ilang taong sweldo ko lng yan sa GMA yan. iipunin ko ung 500 na binibigay binabayad nila sakin sa pagcocoment. bebenta ko din mga groceries na bigay nila para makabili ako nito. hmm mga 3yrs from now kaya ko na bumili nyan

    Sa AT&T, if you terminate your contract after 31 days, magbabayad ka lang ng $175 na penalty fee. You get to keep the phone tapos ang total na babayaran mo lang ay around $570. That’s around 25k lang. Ang layo sa 41k at 48k. Unlocking is not a problem. Eto plan kong gawin to get one.

    Pero 14k lang talaga pag bumili ka underground kaso bad kasi illegal.

    there’s a P16,800 with P 1599 plan. if you are not into calls or 3G and you are just a plain texter this phone is not for you. I heard lots of reservations are coming in and mostly the elite group, executives and managers. This phone will really give them a distinction, a class. :D

    The $199 and $299 offer is not a handset only offer price. It actually requires you to subscribe to a plan for two years. And the lowest available plan of AT&T comes with an MSF of $69.99 which translates to P3,148 per month (using the exchange rate of US$1=P44.975). Globe’s lowest plan is Plan 1599, resulting to savings of at least P31,000 over the 24-month lock-in period. It should be noted that AT&T requires an activation fee of $36 for every new activation and an upgrade fee of $18 for existing iPhone subs (activation fee was used in the calculation since we don’t have existing iPhone subs in the Philippines).

    garsh. that’s too much. it’s obviously overpricing. The iPhone 3G is supposed to be sold for about like 20 thousand in terms of Philippine money. iPhone 3G is much cheaper in other countries.
