Globe Telecom to bring iPhone to the Philippines

Globe Telecom announced in its web site that they have signed an agreement with Apple to bring the iPhone to the Philippines.
According to the Inquirer, The iPhone may be launched locally starting September this year. However, bringing the iPhone to Asia may require a different service provider infrastructure being used by that in the US.
