Gloria Macapagal Arroyo files certificate of candidacy at local COMELEC for congress bid

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo personally went to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) office on Tuesday in San Fernando City, Pampanga, to file her certificate of candidacy (COC) to run for the 2nd congressional district of the province.

She came from a mass organized by her supporters at the St. Augustine Church in her hometown of Lubao, Pampanga before going to the local COMELEC office. She was accompanied by her husband, lawyer Jose Miguel Arroyo, son, Mikey Arroyo, mayors and other officials of Pampanga. The second district of Pampanga is composed of the towns of Lubao, Guagua, Floridablanca, Porac, Sta. Rita, and Sasmuan.
