Glutathione content of local whitening products revealed

A report by Korina Sanchez on TV Patrol revealed that the actual glutathione content of most of the local whitening products in the market is way less than the claimed content posted on its bottle.

The Philippine Institute of Pure and Applied Chemistry (PIPAC) tested some of the major brands of whitening products for the actual glutathione content and revealed that only two brands contained the right amount as listed on its bottle. You can watch Korina’s report on YouTube. Glutathione is an antioxidant that protects cells from toxins such as free radicals and the side effect of taking this is whitening of the skin.

    i was really doubtful about the whitening aspect but a colleague of mine told me the Met Tathione is the most effective brand out there. i guess Korina’s report just sufficed what he said. keep it up Korina!

    i believe na hiyangan talaga ang glutathione..I’ve tried different gluta brands like met, lucida,cosmo skin even un mga non bfad approved like silk and dove, ishigaki…i can say n ang mas effective sa kin are cosmo skin and ishigaki..u can never tell talga which will be effective for you until you’ve tried it Ü

    Yes. Tama, ang dami konang natry before pati iba sa mga nabalita nayan, pero sa beauoxi white lang talga ako hiyang. nirecommend cya sken ng tita ko sa states tapos yun ok cya talga sken. gumanda skin ko at naglighten talga hindi tulad sa iba na pinagamit ako ng matagal pero wala din naman effect.

    i believe na bias ang report ni korena sanchez dahil paid ads ni met yong pinalabas sa tv patrol.im sure thretened na si met sa ibang brands like kb and lucida..ginawa ng met yong paninira sa ibang brands para buminta yong brand na met.wala na atang bumibili ng met sa sobrang mahal at di naman effective.according to reliable source na ang gluta white na mabibili lang sa mga derma at met ay iisa ang may ari..no wonder kung bakit met lang at gluta white ang pumasa.

    I’m using KB for 4 months now so far dami naka notice na pumuti ako at tsaka nawala yung cough ko due to smoking.

    Nagulat ako dun sa news …. syempre user ako ng kyusoku bihaku gluta+nac …

    hinde kaya paid advertisement lang ng MET yun? Ask ko KB co. and yungs agot nila post nila sa site nila ilovekb.com

    I think gluthawhite packaging says its actual content 100 mg. For goddness sake, it only cost 14 bucks.

    hayy nakuu im sure paid advertisement to noh! wala na kasi bumubili ng met, this is a desperate move done by the owner ng met, kakahiya! isa pa twice na inendorse ni korina ang met sa show nya na rated K last year noh! sobrang bayaran naman nya! hayy unprofessional, but anyways kawawa naman si lucida ds sobra sya nadikdik, nagtry na ko nito dati hindi naman ako nagkapimples pero hindi din naman ak pumuti, at ang beuty and glowness galore sa cosmo skin ko lang na meet! wala ng iba!

    Hi!!!!!! gud am.. Ive used Met tathione before i guess 2 yrs. ago, hiyang naman ako, medyo tumaba lang ako, but so far so good.. Now, nag cosmo skin ako, and i think mas effective sya when it comes to whitening… Mas mabilis din ang effect nya for me and and pinaka maganda, mas blooming me compared to other brand.. Enjoy whitening

    hi ive used vaniderm bfore and very effective for me coz for how many days lng ehh ng lighten n skin ko..im not xur s ibang brands coz never tried it….

    hi.. i’m a guy.. chinise filipino.. kaya dati ng maputi skin ko.. pero gusto ko na pantay sya kasi may mga areas ng skin na less ang exposure sa sun kaya whiter sya.. at for overall health narin.. secondary lang naman ang pagputi mo..i tried MET and used it for one yr and one month.. effective sya,,, naggoglow skin ko at iba ang pagkaputi compared sa walang MET.. pag tumabi ako talagang stand out ang skin ko… now.. nagswitch ako sa ibang product.. cosmo skin cheaper than met at may grape seed extract sila.. i dont know kung better ba sya or ano kasi mga 1 wk palang ako nagtitake.. andi2 pa yung pagkaputi dulot ng met.. siguro after 1 month masasabi kuna kung effective din o hindi..hopefully hiyang ako.. pag hindi babalik ako sa met… before, i took 2 caps ng met kasi 250mg ang isa para mag 500mg daily at dalawang 500mg na vit c.. now.. i’m taking only 1 cap ng cosmo skin kasi 500mg na sya at dalawang 500mg na vit c.. at grape seed extract before going to bed 500mg din..
