GMA-7 and QTV-11 win 11 awards in 2008 US International Film and Video Festival
GMA channel 7 and its sister network QTV channel 11 won a total of 11 awards in the 41st US International Film and Video Festival in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
The two networks competed against 22 other countries that took part in the annual competition for corporate, documentary educational, entertainment and student productions. GMA-7 officials went to the awarding ceremony last June 7 to receive the awards.

bakit ang hilig sumali ng GMA7 sa mga di kilalang international competition tulad nyan?
at pag nananalo, todo hype sila sa kanilang panalo as if they have been recognized by an A-list award-giving body like the Emmy’s.
well, example ay yung sa NYF, CNN and major US Networks have been winning on that festival but they don’t brag about it and don’t make press releases or infomercial about it on their channel…for them it’s a no big deal win whatsoever… pero pag GMA7 ang nananalo…expect a tsunami of ads and press releases.
parang lagi silang uhaw sa recognition and they are desperately doing everything para lang mapansin…sign insecurity perhaps?
anyways, just look at ABS-CBN, bihira sumali sa mga ganyan pero pag sumasali…major recognitions talaga ang nakakamit.

GMA never took the time to submit a program for nomination to the EMMY’s of which ABS-CBN did. If you look at the rule that governs EMMY’s nomination you will find that anyone could be nominated and categorically picked for any awards. In the case of ABS-CBN’s Bandila, there were two nominees for the documentary awards. Bandila came in second (actually last) and an independent journalist won it for his Baghdad coverage (2007). GMA had won several awards in the US and most of them are recognized by the Media Association of the US. So much for your EMMY recognition.

hay..wala na kasing makuhang mataas na rating ang abs-cbn..kaya ayun nagpakidanap na lang..lumabas tuloy na may negligence sila sa bibig mismo galing ni ces yan..sa kagustuhan sumikat at makakakuha ng news sa Sulu pa,,,ayun na traitor tuloy sila….kasi naman kaartehan naman ang mga reporters ng abs-cbn//walng credibility,,bias…hays….ayan tuloy napala ninyo buti nga hindi pinutulan ng ulo..nagransom pala sabi hindi..hay….naku abs-cbn tumino na kayo baka lumipad si capt.boom ninyo..booooooooooooooooooo…ay boooooooooooooooommmmmm pala
