GMA 7’s Atlantica
Just when you thought you’ve had enough of those “telefantasyas” or “fantaseryes” on Philippine television (from Encantadia, Majika, Kampanerang Kuba, Etheria, Captain Barbell, Darna, Super Inggo, the list goes on and on) comes another one from GMA entitled Atlantica. The cast is lead by Dingdong Dantes and Iza Calzado. From its title, it seems this is going to be about an underwater world much like the telefantasya which started it all, Marina.

Wal, parahas lang ang altantika at encantadia, sinama ang sugo. Gabe walang kaisip-isip ang mga taga GMA 7 kundi ang mga-agawang nga kaharian. WHAT A DUMB PATHETIC FRIVOLOUS IDEAS!

i liked encantadia and etheria thankyouverymuch. but i think the success of the fantaserye and the movie-to-soap-opera is waning. the folks at abs-cbn and gma better be thinking about newer stuff.
by the way, i really enjoyed the short film festival that gma has produced for the holiday season. it’s a brand new way of advertising. it isn’t as hard sell as the other products (like ariel *sorry P&G*).
